BRIEF SYNOPSIS

A small town nearby Milan (Northern Italy). Following a murder he committed twenty years before Stefano Capanna, a Southerner, was banished to the North of the country. From then on Stefano, assisted by his wife Rebecca, has made a new honest life for himself, even though he has had to pay the price of a social isolation. When Tina, their only daugher, asks them for permission to invite for lunch Donatello Verdi, a local young man with a disreputable reputation, Stefano and Rebecca refuse point blank. However Tina, who has been suffering in silence since she was a child her parents' isolation, and being still a virgin, cannot resist a relationship with Donatello, the only person apart from her parents, to show any affection for her. Donatello's criminal activities become more and more blatant. But even so first Tina and then Rebecca defeat Stefano's strenuos opposition and Donatello is accepted in their home. Two months later Tina's and Donatello's wedding preparations are well underway. However Rebecca and Donatello start a sexual relationship. One day Stefano gets back home from the shops with Tina's wedding dress to find Rebecca and Donatello in bed. The murderous instinct he has stifled for twenty years grips him again. Stefano shoots at the two. Rebecca ends up in a coma in hospital, but Donatello manages to run away. Tina finds out what has happened. Unable to accept to have been betrayed by the people she most loved, she takes a revenge
even more extreme than her father's.
